Delmarva is currently experiencing heavy snowfall, with rates of 1 to 2 inches per hour. The snow will continue through the morning, before a brief lull this afternoon, followed by another round of snow this evening. Early snowfall reports show 3-6 inches already on the ground in many areas. Travel today is not recommended as roads are covered in snow, and conditions will continue to worsen.

Delmarva will experience a fair and dry weekend as strong high pressure dominates through Sunday. Increasing clouds Sunday will usher in a shift toward unsettled weather, with potential for showers and Sunday night into Monday. Temperatures will rise into the 50s and 60s early next week ahead of a cold front, followed by another low-pressure system later in the week.

A cold front will clear the Delmarva region tonight, ushering in the coldest air mass of the season. Temperatures are expected to drop into the mid to upper 20s, with wind chills falling well below freezing. High pressure will bring dry but chilly conditions for Saturday, with wind chills making it feel like the 20s. A weak disturbance Sunday night could bring light snow or mixed precipitation to parts of the region.
