DELMARVA - , clouds will continue to thicken across coastal Delaware, making it unlikely that sky watchers will catch a clear glimpse of the Flower Moon. Temperatures will remain mild overnight, dipping into the 60s, but patchy showers may begin to develop after midnight.

Tuesday's forecast brings increasing chances for rainfall as the day goes on. Expect scattered showers early in the day, becoming more widespread and heavier by late afternoon into the evening. Thunderstorms are likely to develop overnight Tuesday into early Wednesday, with the potential for heavy downpours, gusty winds, and occasional lightning.

Rainfall totals could exceed 3 inches in some areas along the coast by the end of the week, as unsettled weather continues through at least Friday. While beachgoers and boaters should be aware of potential storm impacts, the primary concern will be localized flooding in low-lying or poorly drained areas.

How to dress and prepare:

  • Monday evening: A light jacket or sweatshirt is recommended for coastal breezes, with dry weather holding through most of the evening.

  • Tuesday: Keep rain gear close—waterproof jackets and shoes will be essential, especially later in the day. If you're commuting or attending outdoor events, prepare for disruptions due to rain and possible storms.

  • Rest of the week: Given the unsettled pattern, plan for on-and-off showers. Layering will help as temperatures remain relatively warm, but damp conditions will prevail.

As always, stay tuned to Coast-TV alerts for real-time updates, especially if flood advisories or severe storm warnings are issued.
