DELMARVA-Â A cold front is making it's way across Delmarva this morning, ushering in drier air into the afternoon. Another cold front moves through tonight reinforcing the dry and cooler air, resulting in great weather for the Fourth of July.
This afternoon mostly sunny skies will prevail across Delmarva, with highs in the upper 80s to near 90, and a dry forecast. It will still be a bit on the muggy side the rest of the afternoon into the evening hours. Temperatures will be in the 70s and 80s this evening.
Overnight, another cold front will move through the region, reinforcing the dry and cooler air. No precipitation is expected from this feature. Lows by Friday morning will be in the 60s to around 70.
Independence Day appears to be the most comfortable day of the period, with warm sunshine and lower humidity creating pleasant conditions for early Fourth of July celebrations. High temperatures will be in the mid 80s, then 70s with clear skies around fireworks time.
Temperatures will trend a bit warmer again Saturday and Sunday, with highs in the upper 80s each afternoon. Dew points will rise gradually, moving back into the upper 60s to around 70 by Sunday. As the high shifts offshore late in the weekend, a return of more humid conditions is possible, but most of the period will remain dry and favorable for outdoor activities.
