DELMARVAÂ - Smoky skies continue this afternoon across Delmarva, resulting in hazy conditions. As high pressure gradually shifts offshore, a warming trend will be underway. The smoky skies start to improve Wednesday into the rest of the week.

This afternoon expect sunny skies and comfortable conditions, with inland highs reaching the low 80s, with upper 60s to low 70s along the coast. Winds will be light and variable. Skies will be hazy due to smoke from Canadian wildfires.
Overnight, we'll see mostly clear skies with temperatures falling into the 50s and 60s by morning.

For Wednesday, many inland areas will climb into the mid 80s, with cooler 70s at the coast. Skies may still be hazy from wildfire smoke, with light and variable winds. Wednesday night will be mainly clear with lows in the 60s.

Thursday is expected to be the warmest day, with inland highs in the upper 80s, with increasing humidity levels. With the humidity it may feel a bit warmer than the actual temperature.
By Friday and Saturday, however, the weather pattern becomes more active. Several shortwave troughs from the Great Lakes region will push into the Mid-Atlantic, increasing the risk for scattered showers and thunderstorms. While details remain uncertain this far out, the end of the week appears unsettled but still warm, with temperatures staying above average. Highs remain in the 80s Friday into the weekend, with lows in the 60s.
