Early voting in Delaware just got a little earlier. Instead of opening at 11 a.m., polling locations across the state will now open at 7 a.m. According to the Delaware Department of Elections, 42,967 people in Sussex County have already participated in early voting, contributing to a total of 81,315 early votes statewide.

Nov. 5 is election day this year but for those looking to beat the rush or those just excited to get their ballot into the box as soon as possible, there are early voting options in both Delaware and Maryland.
Early voting will close out the month of October in Maryland starting Thursday. People will be able to cast their ballot from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. from Oct. 24-31.
