...WIND ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 1 AM EST SATURDAY...

* WHAT...Southwest winds 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 45 mph
expected through this morning. Winds turn to the
northwest behind a strong cold front this afternoon. There may
be a lull in the strongest wind gusts late this morning before
the cold front passes through the region. Wind gusts in the wake
of the front up to 50 MPH are possible.


* WHERE...Portions of southern Delaware and central and southern New
Jersey.

* WHEN...Until 1 AM EST Saturday.

* IMPACTS...Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree
limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high
profile vehicles. Use extra caution.

Secure outdoor objects.

...GALE WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 1 AM EST SATURDAY...

* WHAT...Southerly winds 25 to 35 kt with gusts up to 45 kt this
morning, abruptly shifting westerly by midday.

* WHERE...Delaware Bay waters north of East Point NJ to
Slaughter Beach DE and Delaware Bay waters south of East Point
NJ to Slaughter Beach DE.

* WHEN...Until 1 AM EST Saturday.

* IMPACTS...Strong winds will cause hazardous seas which could
capsize or damage vessels and reduce visibility.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...There may be a lull in the strongest winds
around midday just before the cold front passes through the
waters.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Mariners should alter plans to avoid these hazardous conditions.
Remain in port, seek safe harbor, alter course, and/or secure the
vessel for hazardous conditions.

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers told CoastTV that replenishment at the Indian River Inlet is now complete. Dredging and replenishment took place along the north side of the inlet.

Hurricane Erin caused 10-14 feet of erosion at the north side of the Indian River Inlet and forced an overnight closure of Route 1 due to bayside flooding. Officials say dunes helped protect infrastructure, but damage along the coast remains visible.
