IRSD Superintendent Dr. Jay Owens says the current expense referendum is asking people to increase property taxes to fund an increase in operating costs and to fund the retention and future hiring of staff.
There will be eight places to vote on March 20, the day the district goes to referendum. The Superintendent, Dr. Jay Owens, say this is needed for retention of staff as well as recruitment in the future, and operating costs.
The Indian River School District will open its school choice application period for the 2025-2026 academic year from Nov. 4 through Jan. 8.
Students can purchase breakfast in their school cafeterias before the start of the school day.
