DelDOT is reminding people who live in privately maintained subdivisions that snow removal will not be handled by state crews, and that plowing of state-maintained roads inside subdivisions could take several days following a major storm.

A 186-acre farm off Basket Switch Road is the latest property protected through an agricultural easement purchased by the Maryland Agricultural Land Preservation Foundation in Worcester County. 

Milton residents are raising traffic and environmental concerns as the 385-home Carey Farm development moves through the state review process.

A major new housing development near Milton is moving forward under the name Carey Farm, with plans to build 385 homes on a 192-acre parcel of farmland and forestland adjacent to the town limits. On Dec. 2, the Preliminary Land Use Service meeting prompted state and local agencies to weigh in on infrastructure, public safety and environmental considerations for the development.

Milford City Council voted Monday night to deny a proposed 39-townhome development on Truitt Avenue.

A rural stretch of Pettyjohn Road in eastern Sussex County could soon look a lot different, as two separate housing developments proposed by the same applicant would bring more than 250 single-family homes to the area.

The Lewes Planning Commission will meet on March 19 to discuss and potentially recommend the final plan for the Roosevelt Landing major subdivision, which is located at the previous Lewes Dairy site, to the Mayor and City Council.

A new subdivision, "Four Winds Farm," is set to bring 336 single-family homes to Sussex County.

The portion of Beaver Dam Road between Stockley Road and the Anchor Run subdivision roundabout will be subject to lane closures beginning Nov. 29.
