A-Del Construction has started working on the new Old Orchard Road, which will go right next to the current Old Orchard Road just off Savannah Road. 

DelDOT announced it is partnering with Dogfish Head Craft Brewery and the Sussex County Land Trust to fund a feasibility study that could expand the Lewes-Georgetown Bike Trail to include a new trailhead in Milton.

DelDOT announced a full lane shift of SR 1 northbound and southbound on Holland Glade Road starting Oct. 21 as part of ongoing intersection improvements.

Changes are coming to Route 113 in Frankford. At a town council meeting Tuesday night, the council discussed a proposal from the Delaware Department of Transportation.

Paving work will bring lane closures to a section of Mullberry Knoll Road near Lewes starting September 22, with delays expected through mid-October.

DelDOT officials notify motorists that Pettyjohn Road will be closed between Gravel Hill Road, Route 30, and Prettyman Road. The closure is scheduled to start on Sept. 15 at 7 a.m., and should reopen on Sept. 19 at 6 p.m. DelDOT says the road is to be closed for, "a horizontal jack and bore for an offsite water main."

According to the DELDOT, the new construction plan for the intersection of SR 1 and Holland Glade Road near the outlets of Lewes and Rehoboth, is set to begin on Sept. 8.

Devon Road at Mill Pond Acres will permanently close as part of DelDOT’s Route 1 safety project. No local detour will be in place and the department recommends drivers should plan alternate routes. 

The Delaware Division of Motor Vehicles and E-ZPass Delaware will be giving free transponders to drivers who open a new E-ZPass Delaware account between Aug. 1 and Aug. 31, according to the Delaware Department of Transportation.

DelDOT announces Delaware Avenue will be closed between DuPont Boulevard and Millsboro Highway from Monday, July 14 to Monday, Aug.4.
