The Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration has launched the project along US 13. The facility has been operated by the Maryland State Police since 1967, and is getting a full infrastructure and equipment overhaul.

Troopers from the Berlin Barrack were called around 4:21 a.m. to Route 12, also known as Snow Hill Road, near Carmean Road after reports that a person had been hit by a car.
