The Sussex County public safety community is honoring the memory of Thomas W. Berry III, who lost his life while helping at the scene of a car crash in Georgetown.
A traffic light has been installed at the intersection of Mulberry St. and Route 16 in Milton, but it's not functional yet. It was at that intersection that a 74 year old woman died after she hit a Sussex County EMS vehicle.

GEORGETOWN, Del.- People gathered at Crossroad Community Church Thursday to pay their final respects to volunteer firefighter Thomas Berry III, who died while assisting a driver after a crash on Route 9 earlier this month.
Thursday will be a day to honor the memory of Thomas Berry III and pay tribute to the service he made while serving as a volunteer firefighter and medical services technician. A memorial service and procession will be held in Georgetown.
