A man is facing charges after Salisbury police say he assaulted and robbed a 73-year-old man in his car.
The Independent Investigations Division of Maryland's Attorney General's Office has identified the suspect and officer involved in a Sept. 4 officer-involved shooting.
After an investigation, the Delaware State Police announced that a man driving a Yamaha X1A was involved in a deadly crash.
According to the Office of the State Fire Marshal, emergency crews were dispatched around 2 a.m. to 1315 Middleneck Dr. after neighbors called to report a home in flames. When first responders entered, two adults were found inside. Authorities say the adults received CPR from EMS units prior to being transported to TidalHealth Peninsula Regional, where they were pronounced dead.
DelDOT officials notify motorists that Pettyjohn Road will be closed between Gravel Hill Road, Route 30, and Prettyman Road. The closure is scheduled to start on Sept. 15 at 7 a.m., and should reopen on Sept. 19 at 6 p.m. DelDOT says the road is to be closed for, "a horizontal jack and bore for an offsite water main."
