Taste Of Summer

Hot and humid conditions build on Delmarva Thursday and Friday.

DELMARVA -- We saw a cold front move through Delmarva this morning, ushering in drier air with warm temperatures this afternoon. The skies are a bit hazy due to wildfire smoke. High temperatures will be in the low to mid 80s, with 70s and 80s at the coast.

This evening expect warm temperatures under hazy skies. Readings will be in the 70s and 80s with light winds. Overnight, skies will be mainly clear with patchy fog possible, and lows in the 60s.

FutureSmoke

Another round of Canadian wildfire smoke bringing hazy milky skies.

Thursday we could see the first 90 degree reading of the season, as high pressure settles in at the surface and aloft.  Skies will remain hazy and smoky at times, with minimal health effects.

The weather pattern becomes more unsettled again by the weekend as another cold front drifts southward. Forecast models suggest the front could stall near the area, bringing an increased risk of showers and thunderstorms, on Saturday.
