DELMARVA - Weak high pressure will settle over the region early Tuesday following the passage of a cold front, bringing a stretch of dry and generally quiet weather through early Wednesday.
Temperatures will climb quickly Tuesday, with afternoon highs reaching the upper 80s to near 90 degrees in some locations. Despite the heat, conditions should feel more comfortable than Monday as dew points fall into the mid-60s and humidity levels decrease.
Mostly clear to partly cloudy skies are expected through Tuesday afternoon and evening, with no significant showers or thunderstorms anticipated. Winds will remain relatively light.
Dry conditions will continue Tuesday night into early Wednesday morning. Overnight temperatures will remain mild before another warm day develops Wednesday.
The next significant chance for showers and thunderstorms is expected to hold off until a cold front approaches Wednesday night.
