DELMARVA  - Heavy rain continued to be the main weather concern late Monday evening as thunderstorms produced flash flooding on parts of the Mid-Shore, just west of Sussex County.

The nearby heavy rain is a reminder that any stronger storm Monday night could produce quick downpours, ponding on roads and poor drainage flooding. Drivers should use caution after dark, especially near low-lying roads and areas that typically collect water.

The unsettled pattern continues into Tuesday, with scattered showers and thunderstorms possible at times through late evening. Any storm that develops could briefly drop heavy rain, reducing visibility and making roads slick. Residents and visitors should keep an eye on changing conditions and avoid driving through briefly flooded roads.
