Welcoming back sunshine and slightly lower humidity levels through the end of the week.

DELMARVA -- Calmer conditions return to Delmarva today as sunshine replaces the clouds and storms that recently moved across the peninsula.

Mostly sunny skies and highs in the mid 80s, lower humidity levels, winds out of the northwest gusting 25 mph.

Mostly sunny skies are expected, with afternoon temperatures reaching the middle 80s. The biggest change will be the lower humidity. Dew points have fallen into the lower to middle 60s after reaching the 70s Tuesday, making conditions feel noticeably more comfortable.

Slightly lower humidity levels will be with us through the start of the weekend. 

A surface low will continue moving northward away from the region, leaving Delmarva on the backside of the system. An upper-level low over New England will maintain a northwesterly flow across the peninsula.

FEEL GOOD FRIDAY

Tonight will be mostly clear and pleasant, with temperatures falling into the low to middle 60s.

Thursday will bring another mostly sunny day, with highs in the lower 80s. A stray afternoon shower cannot be completely ruled out, but most communities should remain dry.

Friday is shaping up to be another fantastic day across Delmarva. Mostly sunny skies are expected, with temperatures reaching the middle 80s and comfortable conditions continuing.

High pressure will remain in control through the first half of the weekend. Saturday should stay mainly dry and seasonable, with highs climbing into the upper 80s.

Humidity will gradually increase during the weekend. An isolated thunderstorm will be possible Sunday as another frontal system approaches the region.

The system could bring a more unsettled pattern to Delmarva Sunday and Monday as August begins. The exact timing and potential impacts remain uncertain, but additional showers and thunderstorms may develop early next week.
